On the right path – M

I often ask if I am on the right path. How does one know? Is there some internal compass showing us the way?

I remember my father seemed to always have the answers to all my questions. He could fix any problem! He was my hero. He passed away when I was only 23.

That was a long time ago, but I still question if my dad ever “didn’t know all the answers?” I am old enough to have some grandchildren, yet I question myself all the time. One of those questions is about the path I’ve chosen to walk. Am I doing the right thing? Am I heading in the right direction?

Well tonight we had a gathering of saints to hear about faith and courage. Our stake president said in his talk that we must remember the answers we get from our prayers. When we receive answers from God, just after it seems I start to doubt again. So I need to better follow what I know to be true.

Then I was reminded about just last week when the same stake president told my wife and I, “Look at this couple, they are on the right path!”

Being reminded of a random comment gave me hope again. God answered my prayer tonight. It is amazing seeing His timing!
