Who is God to you? How do you see God in your life?
I see God as a loving Father. One who comforts. One who teaches. One who encourages growth. One who wants us to be more like HIM.
He taught us in Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in OUR Image, after OUR Likeness.” To me that means we have the seeds to be like our Father. Just a seed. But we should see ourselves as a wonderful creation of His. How powerful is that?
I believe in a God who is more powerful than anyone can imagine.
I believe in a God of miracles.
I believe in a God who listens to and answers prayers.
I believe in a God who speaks to His children through the scriptures, through prayer, through our neighbors, through our children, and through His servants.
I believe it is not just about following specific points of doctrine. But about who we love and how we love. For in Matthew 5:44, we are called to pray for those that don’t like us, that speak badly of us, not just love those who are easy to love.
My God has also commanded us to not fear, for fear is not of God. Love, light, and knowledge casts out fear. Once we recognize fear, we can shed light on it and pray.
I am thankful to know that God loves me just as I am. I believe God desires all to feel His love.
