Forgiveness of self and others – M

We all want to be forgiven of our mistakes. At some point in our lives we get the overwhelming feeling of needing to ask forgiveness from others.

Are we willing to be humble enough to admit fault? Without blaming others, without complaint, without defending?

Are we willing to ask directly for forgiveness for a specific fault?

The last and most important test. Are we willing to forgive others even if and when they do not forgive you? Or they do not accept your apology?

The test is both of self and love of others. Do we love others enough to allow them time and space to grow? Should I even use the word “allow”? As if I have any authority on allowing anything in someone else’s life.
