The road to Zion is not paved with ease, forgiving roads without bumps, or gardens without weeds. The road is created perfectly for our growth.
Every curve, steep angle, pothole is there to teach us more about ourselves and what we must overcome.
If we are not careful, we can cause a setback for ourselves and those we love. President Benson said it best when he spoke of Pride. “The central feature of pride is enmity—enmity toward God and enmity toward our fellowmen. Enmity means “hatred toward, hostility to, or a state of opposition.” It is the power by which Satan wishes to reign over us.”
Anger can cut quickly. But pride kills our spirit most surely. Pride prevents us from being humble. Pride prevents us from seeing damage we are responsible for. As quoted, “enmity towards God and our fellow men”.
No matter what the road has in store, remove anger and surely do not let into pride.
